Hannah Thornton is pursuing University Honors along with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies.

In October 2019, the John V. Roach Honors College welcomed Abdul-Jabbar to TCU as the keynote speaker for the annual Fogelson Honors Forum.

Grant Lattanzi came to TCU with aspirations of an acting career. However, after his experience conducting an independent research project, his dream changed course. “My career trajectory has completely changed from career actor to aspiring professor,” he said.

TCU’s Coordinator of Special Projects, Dr. Whitnee Boyd, has taught Honors College Life and Identity for two semesters. Sharing identity through storytelling—in and outside of TCU—has been the core of her class.

TCU Honors alumnus Greg Beauchamp is offering a special bonus gift of $5,000 if the John V. Roach Honors College can reach 200 individual gifts on TCU Gives Day.

Each year, the Fort Worth Business Press presents its Corporate Philanthropy Awards, which honor community-minded companies and individuals who are philanthropic leaders in their organizations and communities. This year’s award recipients included a familiar face – Assistant Dean, J. Vaughn & Evelyne H. Wilson Honors Fellow, Director of Prestigious Scholarships, and Honors Professor Ron Pitcock.

Honors student and speech-language pathology major Abbie Moore has been involved in gymnastics her whole life. She started competing when she was only 9 years old and, as a freshman, joined a fledgling TCU Gymnastics Club as a way to meet others who shared her passion for the sport.

Alli Jones is a graduating Honors senior and Chancellor’s Scholar in the School of Music and was recently selected as a participant of the 2019-2020 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX).

Each year in April, the John V. Roach Honors College hosts Honors Week to celebrate the accomplishments of Honors students throughout the academic year. This year, Honors Week marked a special occasion – 10 years of the Honors College!
